{"id":3072,"date":"2022-11-21T16:29:30","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T16:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/?p=3072"},"modified":"2022-11-22T16:08:02","modified_gmt":"2022-11-22T16:08:02","slug":"level-plan-en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/en\/government-updates\/level-plan-en\/","title":{"rendered":"\u30102023-2025 Canada Immigration Level Plan\u3011Updated November 21, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Canada <\/strong><strong>Immigration Levels Plan <\/strong><strong>2023-2025<\/strong><strong> was released on November 1, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The plan aims to strengthen the economy by attracting the skilled workers needed in health care, skilled trades, manufacturing, and technology sectors to address the social and economic challenges Canada will face in the coming decades.<\/p>\n<p>It also aims to fulfill Canada&#8217;s humanitarian commitments by reuniting families as quickly as possible and helping refugees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Target number of immigrants to be accepted<\/h3>\n<p><strong>2023: 465,000<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2024: 485,000<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2025: 500,000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Canada is one of the fastest recovering economies from COVID-19 among developed countries, but is facing serious shortages in the labor market, causing concern for Canadian businesses and workers.\u00a0 This Levels Plan aims for economic recovery by bringing in more immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>Last year Canada welcomed over 405,000 newcomers.\u00a0 This is the largest number of immigrants accepted in a single year, and it will be nearly 432,000 in 2022.\u00a0 The government has set a goal to continue this effort, welcoming 465,000 permanent residents in 2023, 485,000 in 2024, and 500,000 in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>60% of admissions in the economic class<\/h3>\n<p>Focusing on long-term economic growth, the program will have just over 60% of its admissions in the economic class by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Using new features in the <a href=\"https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/government-updates\/express-entry-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry system<\/a> to accept newcomers with the required skills and qualifications in sectors facing severe labour shortages such as, health care, manufacturing, building trades and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).\u00a0 <strong>The target number of Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) will be 82,880 in 2023, 109,020 in 2024, and 114,000 in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regional economic immigration programs such as the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) are increasingly important to Canada&#8217;s continued growth.\u00a0 Therefore, this year&#8217;s plan outlines year-to-year growth, and to ensure that each region has the skilled immigrants needed to address labor shortages and demographic challenges, <strong>the PNP targets 105,500 in 2023, 110,000 in 2024, and 117,500 in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Family Reunification<\/h3>\n<p>The Family Class is the second largest permanent residence program after the Economic Class, as it also has a mission to reunite families as quickly as possible.<br \/>\nCanada continues to consider accepting approximately 80,000 immigrants per year under the immigration program for spouses, partners, and children, and <strong>the immigration program for parents and grandparents will be raised to 36,000 in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>AI, Online Applications<\/h3>\n<p>Over the past year, the Government of Canada has made improvements to address a number of challenges faced by those using the immigration system.<br \/>\nTo further expedite these efforts and provide the services that users demand, the government continues to streamline and digitize the immigration system.<\/p>\n<p>At any given time, Immigration Canada manages more than 1 million applications, with 1.7 million completed in 2021 overall.\u00a0 In terms of reducing outstanding applications, the goal is to further utilize AI to process 80% of applications within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/corporate\/mandate\/service-declaration\/service-standards.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the service standards<\/a> under normal circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the final decision will be made by the Officer, hopefully the full use of AI and the move to online will allow completion of the review within the the service standards set by IRCC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Great immigrant country and a longing destination for immigrants, Canada<\/h3>\n<p>Canada has always been the destination of choice for those looking for a start in work, study, and life.
