An authorized Work Permit will grant you the permission to work legally in Canada for a designated period of time. \u00a0In some provinces, you may receive health insurance as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Intra-company Transferee Work Permit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the intra company transferee category, companies based in foreign countries may have their employees, whom meets the qualifications, be temporarily transferred to Canada. Known as the Intra-company Transferee Work Permit, only companies that have offices in 2 or more countries, including Canada, may transfer their employees (Manager or Specialized Knowledge Worker) under this category. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since they\u2019re of significant economic benefit to Canada through the transfer of their expertise to Canadian businesses, qualified intra-company transferees require Work Permits <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">but<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are exempt from having to apply for the Labour Market Impact Assessment\u00a0(LMIA).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Validity period of Intra-company transferee Work Permit<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senior Manager \u00a0 7 years \u00a0 (3years+2years+2years)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specialized Knowledge Worker 5 years \u00a0(3years+2years)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Can I be transferred to a newly established Canadian company?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u203bOnly Senior Managers (not Specialized Skilled Workers) can be transferred to a newly established Canadian company. Initial Work Permit is 1 year.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u203bOn the application for extension, the Canadian company must provide:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> proof that the company hires Canadian staff(s)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Rental or purchase agreement of the office (may use Lawyer\u2019s Office if it\u2019s the company\u2019s first year of corporation)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>ICT Work Permit for Start-up companies\u3000<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/useful-information-to-obtain-visa-permit\/ict-work-permit\/\">https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/useful-information-to-obtain-visa-permit\/ict-work-permit\/<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Requirements for an Intra-company transferee Work Permit application:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the enterprises<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in both the foreign country and Canada have a parent, branch, subsidiary or affiliate relationship, as well,\u00a0 the Canadian operations are permanent and continuing;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the applicant has been employed by the foreign enterprise for at least one of the previous three years in a similar full-time position.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>If you are a Senior Manager\uff1a<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The position in Canada is a Senior Executive or managerial level position (that plans, organizes, directs or controls the business)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>If you are a Specialized Knowledge Worker, you must have<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proprietary Knowledge, which is company-specific expertise related to a company\u2019s product or services. \u00a0It indicates that the company has not divulged specifications that would allow other companies to duplicate the product or service.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Advanced Proprietary Knowledge, which would require an applicant to demonstrate:<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0unconventional knowledge of the host firm\u2019s products or services and its application in international markets; or<\/li>\n<li>an advanced level of expertise\/ knowledge of the enterprise\u2019s processes and procedures (production, research, equipment, techniques or management)<\/li>\n<li>an advanced level of (general) expertise, in which specialized knowledge gained through (major, past) and recent experiences with the organization are used by the individual to contribute significantly to the employer\u2019s productivity.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providing of documents to prove the above.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>If you\u2019re from a visa-exempt country, you can apply for your work permit directly at a Canadian port of entry (processing time will range from 30 to 90 min)<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can submit your application at a Canadian<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Border<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Services Agency at a Canadian international airport.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"vDi2Uvd3Va\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/yupasscanada.com\/useful-information-to-obtain-visa-permit\/airport\/\">Are you applying for a work permit at a Canadian airport?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
